About this data
Texas Lobby Tracker ingests daily lobby registration data published by the Texas Ethics Commission. Under Chapter 305 of the Government Code, any person who communicates directly with members of the Texas legislative or executive branch and crosses a compensation or expenditure threshold must register with the TEC.
Sector classifications are algorithmically assigned based on client name and subject matter keywords. Always verify against the original TEC filing for legal or compliance purposes. Data is updated daily each morning CT.
